Diamond And Pearl-Legends Awakened is the 38th set of cards of the Trading Card Game and the 22nd released by Pokémon USA, and was released on August 2008.

The set reintroduces Technical Machines to the Trading Card Game and includes the last of the Pokémon card variants of Pokémon first seen in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (excluding unreleased Shaymin and Arceus). The set includes seven Pokémon LV.X, more than any set thus far, and is the fourth-largest set in the history of the TCG with 146 cards.

The game is centered on the concept of the Pokémon battle. All Pokémon have attacks and Hit Points (HP); by doing damage to the opponents Pokémon equal to their Hit Points, the player can knock them out and send them to the discard pile.

Pokémon are the basis of all decks. Energy are cards attached to a Pokémon to enable it to attack. Trainers are support cards that allow players to do something to enhance the game. Some can remove damage counters from Pokémon, remove energy from the opposing Pokémon, or revive Pokémon that have been knocked out. There are many other types of Trainers and Of particular value are draw and search cards.
