Venusaur 6/17 Holo Rare POP Series 2 Promos Pokemon Promo Cards. POP Series 2 was the second Pokémon Organized Play promotional set released by Nintendo and the first to use the series' general six-month rotation, although it was available for closer to eight months due to POP Series 3 not being available until April 2006. POP Series 2 was also the first promotional set in the series to be shown at the Pokémon TCG World Championships in 2005. Every other set now follows this tradition due to the six-month rotation. In Japan, this card was made available to those who redeemed a ticket released through the April 2004 issue of CoroCoro magazine. Wide Solarbeam is a variant of SolarBeam, a move in the Pokémon games that Venusaur can learn. Hard Plant's Japanese name is that of Frenzy Plant, a move in the Pokémon games that Venusaur can learn via Move Tutor when its friendship rating is particularly high.
