about pokemon cards Neo Genesis

Here is an article about Neo Genesis Pokemon Cards. I hope you find the information useful!

The Neo Genesis, released in January 2001 , Neo Genesis is the eighth set of cards from the Pokemon Trading Card Game. It comes after Gym Challenge and before Neo Discovery. Its symbol is a pair of stars, one in front of the other. Neo is Latin for "new", and Genesis is Greek for "beginning". Neo Genesis features second-generation Pokemon that come from the region of Johto and is the first set to do so. Johto, Johto (Joto-chiho) is a region or state in the fictional Pokemon world. This mountainous region is home to the Johto League and its headquarters are Mt. Silver, Silver Town in the anime. The names of its towns and cities are based of different types of plants and trees, in the vein of having all towns and cities named after colors in Kanto. Johto lies directly to the west of Kanto, to the northeast of Hoenn, and is based on the Kansai region of Japan. Location in reference to Orre is unknown.

The statistics on the bottom of the card now have dune-shaped indentations in the background immediately behind each stat.
