Fossil Pokemon Cards
Here is an article on Fossil Set Pokemon Cards. I hope you find the information useful! The Fossil Set, released in October, 1999 , Fossil was the second set to come out; it comes after the Jungle Set. This set had only 64 cards. Its symbol is the skeletal structure of an Aerodactyl's foot. Definition, The name "Aerodactyl" is derived from the prefix "aero-", which means air (as in aeroplane), and pterodactyl, a prehistoric flying reptile, because Aerodactyl resembles one. The term "Pterodactyl" is derived from the Greek words for "wing finger", which refer to this creature's fingered wings. Aerodactyl's actual name meaning is "air finger". Aerodactyl is known for being a fast attacker, so it is used by many strategical players. Aerodactyl is an extinct Pokemon that had lived thousands of years ago and was brought back from a fossil. In as much as it was fossilized, its rough skin became rock-hard and its wing muscles grew stronger due to overweight. It uses its broad wings to glide through the skies. Aerodactyl's skin is made of rock so that it can camflouge from its enemies as it wishes to attack.
One intention of this set is to complete the 151 species of Pokemon Cards from the first generation. This might explain why Fossil contains the fewest cards of any standard set in the card game. This set is named for the Pokemon that, in the video games, must be brought to life from fossils: Omanyte, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl. The card game follows a similar path in that the card "Mysterious Fossil" must be played before any fossil Pokemon Cards can be played. Pokemon Cards Resources:
