Corocoro is a comic magazine published monthly (along with another version "Hyper Corocoro" issued quarterly) in Japan. These comic books have been the source of many Pocket Monsters promo cards in the past, and beginning in 1999 they started publishing the first of the "Neo" Pocket Monsters cards. The card text on the top right of the Japanese card border reads: "special jumbo card". The card text on the bottom of the Japanese card border features the CoroCoro logo and reads: "Monthly CoroCoro Comics: July issue supplement. For how to play, read about the Pokémon club on page 130!!" This card was released as a Jumbo card and was therefore not legal to use in tournaments or official events. The three Pokémon depicted on this card are the ones for which the Magical Pokémon Journey manga is named.
